Bulava’s Sponsor Delivers School Supplies to School in Kyivska Oblast

The world remembers the challenges of 2020 and 2021 when schools, parents, and children had to accustom to a virtual learning environment due the COVID-19 pandemic. While the rest of the world’s children returned to their classrooms in 2022, Ukrainian children faced a new kind of threat: Russian missiles. Ukraine’s children have spent most of 2022 in long-distance learning with limited supplies, unreliable access to internet and electricity, and sometimes even in bomb shelters. Regardless of their location, schools in Ukraine have been under tremendous pressure as they faced the new challenges of providing education to children in a modern war.

Thank you to the generosity of Bulava’s sponsor, the EBS Team in the IT department of Johns Hopkins University and Health Systems, children and teachers in Rokytne (Kyivska Oblast) received much needed school supplies to help them get through the school year. In its first shipment, our sponsor delivered pens, pencils, folders, markers, crayons, paper, stickers, staplers, staples, and other supplies to support the school.

Bulava is beyond grateful to have found the support of the Johns Hopkins University team and looks forward to our continued work in upcoming projects.
